Roleplay History of RavenBlack City

• The following timeline is open to any and all contributions. We all make up the history of the city, and as such, we should all be allowed to add to this wiki-list. Nobody should be allowed to say of your character "but they are not famous enough" or of their dealings "but they are not worthy of note", as the importance of historical events depends upon the interest of each individual, not on the judgement of one single person or group.

 

• Only alter an historical entry if you know it to be incorrect!

 

• Possible historic contributions could include (but are not limited to): Interesting roleplay events (events that occured through roleplay, not in the city) of any kind. This would include major roleplayed storylines regarding wars, political manuvers, relationships of note, etc. The turning of notable vampries. The marriages or bondings of notable vampires. The founding of clans. The destruction of clans. The change in ownership of clans. The start or end of struggles between clans. Historic zeroings or battles between individuals such as the first vampire ever zeroed, or the zeroing of a legendary vampire. The deaths of characters. The creation of newspapers, clubs, bars, halls, groups, forums, houses, bloodlines, or events (such as the lottery or the slave auction).

 

• Although we do not know exactly when the game started running, we do know that RBB (RavenBlack Blood) was founded in 2002, and that the creation of this forum was done a while before the game became anything more than a biter-link game. This can be validated by going to the RBB homepage and looking at the month that the first posts were made.

• RavenBlack begins siring new vampires.

 

OOC: The game was made by Raven Black. It started as a simple blood count that went up as you lured your friends into the game. You only received 1 blood point per person you tricked. Additionally, you could "log in" as anyone back then, but to no advantage other than to check their stats.

• RavenBlack-Blood was formed by Mooncalf as the first vampire coven with its own great hall. Directionless vampires from all over the city flocked to RBB, at times up to 70 new immortals per day.

 

• Capadocious arrives at RBB.

 

 

December 2002

 

• The city is extended.

OOC: RavenBlack turns the link hitting game into a browser based MMORPG. At first it had 50x50 city blocks, but it was shortly upgraded to 100x100.

 

• The Travellers; the first RB clan is formed by Mooncalf for protection of it's own. Jadinia is left in charge of the group while Mooncalf goes in search of lost kindred.

 

• VcorinneV arrives at RBB.

 

• Der Tote becomes a vampire.

 

• The start of the age of fortresses. All over the city, small groups of 8 vampires occupied buildings in order to protect themselves from being bitten. Fortresses, an idea of Mooncalf's, was designed to protect characters from loosing blood overnight in this strange new gaming system. Bands of 8 Travellers would group together within a square in order to make it full. This was, of course, at a time before scrolls of turning were introduced.

 

• Capadocious declares war on the travellers, dispersing the group almost single handily. Capadocious is quickly joined by Heimdag and Battilion (former Traveller). The new group call themselves Clan Capadocious.

 

• Mooncalf returns and forms the militant Blackhaven; a clan dedicated to destroying the Capadocian threat within the city. Mooncalf is joined by vampires such as Witchyrune, Road Wytch, Pandemona and Black Wolf.

 

• Clan de Beljeferon is founded by Beljefron

 

 

2003

 

 

January 2003

 

• The Sun Clan formed.

 

• The start of The Clone Wars. In order to protect buildings and take territory, clans all over the city began raising "clones"; walking corpses under the control of the vampire who raised them. While Capadocious used clones to flush out Blackhaveners and to trap humans, Blackhaven used them to protect their own.

 

• JezabellMoonsHo and Mooncalf develop the power of Walljumping, which is now known as Surprise. By using Walljumping, they are able to sneak undetected into Capadocian fortresses and take the blood of Capadocious and his Queen Battilion. OOC: Mooncalf found a bug in the programming which allowed him to enter a square even if it was full.

 

• House of VcorinneV (current name: Messidor Clan) opens its doors.

 

• A number of Guilds spring up, offering the powers of Stamina, Celerity, Second-Sight, Locate, Thievery and Shadows.

 

 

February 2003

 

• RavenBlack puts a stop to the clone wars by wiping out all of Mooncalf and Capadocious' zombie minions. It was rumoured that the Vampire God saw the zombies as an abomination, and none have been permitted to live ever since this day.

 

• The Freedom Trade Alliance is forged for the purposes of the the sharing of information regarding vampiric matters.

 

• Scrolls of Turning and Holy Waters are invented and introduced into The City's black markets. Subsequent Shops spring up that need to shift their merchandise every day to prevent being caught.

 

• Notte Scura, the first club for exclusive VIP Vampires, is built by Pandemona

 

• The introduction of Scrolls of Turning makes vampire strongholds obsolete, useless and pointless. Clan Capadocious attacks the Blackhaven Fortress, dispersing the clan into the city. Blackhaven retaliates, seriously harming Battilion.

 

• AstaTheBroken and der Tote meet for the first time, becoming the city's first couple. OOC: Stef and Bret become the city's first OOC couple at the same time.

 

• The High Council of RavenBlack City is formed by Heimdag, Witchyrune is elected as the chair-person.

 

• Bloodspawn joins Clan Capadocious.

 

• Blackhaven and Capadocious sign a cease-fire.

 

• Clan of the Rose formed

 

• Cerridwen is sired by Dirktou

 

 

March 2003

 

• The Vampire News Network comes under the ownership of Charish, who turns it into a regular newspaper, highlighting the events in the city on a (usually) daily basis.

 

• Mooncalf orders the attack on a spy, but picks the wrong person. Instead of attacking the true spy, Blackhaven attack a loyal member; Motorola, leaving him nearly zeroed. Witchyrune voted as the new leader of Blackhaven after Mooncalf steps down.

 

• Pandemona and Black Wolf leave Blackhaven and go to Clan Capadocious.

 

• Capadocious splits his clan up into 4 houses with 4 leaders. Heimdag, Lucius, Szygy and Morganafq are left in charge of these houses. The houses are as follows; Heimdag's House of Heimdag, Morganafq leading the Mists, Sodakk leading the House of Sodakk, BloodSpawn leading the Church of Blood, and Euphoric Lust and emily lang leading the Draconian Corps

 

• The Assassin's Guild is formed, led by Uncle Snypie (a masked vampire who goads people around the city into attacking clan Capadocious) and Lathander. Unknown to the rest of the clans, Blackhaven leads The Guild and uses it as their testing ground. Assassins who do well are invited into Blackhaven.

 

• The truce between Blackhaven and Clan Capadocious ends with a Blackhaven assault. Unicorn Dream and Bloodspawn are both zeroed, Capadocious and the new leader of Blackhaven, Witchyrune are both severely harmed. The following day The Battle of Gloom commences. After a long and intense battle, Mooncalf is killed and laid to rest at Gloom and 30th. Blackhaven's second in command, Witchyrune, is also zeroed.

 

• Creperum, daughter of Beljeferon, is wed to Andronicus.

 

• Battilion attacked and zeroed by master assassins of the Assassin Guild, Dirktou and Will der Bauer.

 

• Capadocian Training Camp founded for the purpose of weeding out spies and tightening security. Pandemona is left in charge.

 

• Lucius and Ophelia of the Capadocious Clan are married on March the 17th.

 

• Clan Savage and it's leader, Julian, is single-handedly wiped out by Bloodspawn.

 

• Necromancers arise in RavenBlack City.

 

• A city-wide assault on Clan Capadocious begins, the massive rally of warriors numbering over 80 in total.

 

• The Empire is formed, lead by Andronicus and his wife, Creperum. The Empire was originally designed to act as a home for all neutral vampires.

 

• The Ferrymen form under Lucius and become the Capadocian information house.

 

 

April 2003

 

 

• Batilion leaves Clan Capadocious.

 

• The Graveyard is built. OOC: The Graveyard was a commemorative to the person who played the vampire of Pazuzu, who at this point died in real life.

 

• Bad Name Campaign is formed, originally designed to eliminate all vampires with stupid, or unoriginal names.

 

• Batillion forms The Amazon Blood Clan, a clan for women only.

 

• Clan of The Pheonix is formed.

 

• The Heaven's Gate retreat is built (OOC: Ravenblack-Blood Awakening AKA RBA).

 

• The Church of Blood is formed, led by Bloodspawn as a new house within Clan Capadocious.

 

• Morganafq, house leader of Clan Capadocious, is thrown out of the clan for objecting to the up and coming plans to attack RavenBlack himself. Many Capadocians follow her and also leave the clan.

 

• Capadocious declares he wishes to be crowned Prince of The City.

 

• The Church of Blood declares war on The Empire, and the very same day The Empire disbanded.

 

• Capadocious is voted and proclaimed Prince of the city by Vampires of RavenBlack-Blood.

 

• Immolator’s guilds begins to teach suction to Vampires, which allows those with the power to drain twice as much blood from a victim as they usually would.

 

 

May 2003

 

• Capadocious zeroes Der Tote for being the companion of AstaTheBroken.

 

• UnicornDream leaves Clan Capadocious and is proclaimed new leader of BlackHaven after Witchyrune steps down.

 

• The relationship between Kishan and Pandemona is ended when Kishan is found having an affair with UnicornDream, the new leader of Blackhaven.

 

• ShadowBat and Obsidian are married.

 

• The Bloodbar is created by vampire iLLNiNo.

 

• The Capadocious Clan is disbanded. Each of the clan houses are instructed to their separate ways. The reason is that Capadocious decides he can better lead The City as Prince if he is not partial to clan alignment.

 

• The vampires Lucius, Heimdag and Lord Livingston (all former leaders at Clan Capadocious) go on to form Amici Noctis.

 

• The Church of Blood, led by Bloodspawn, begin attacks on RavenBlack himself, proclaiming him "the false god.

 

• The very first Vampire lottery is created by Mooncalf and the prize pot quickly reaches more than 100,000 coins total. The winner of the first grand prize is UnicornDream.

 

• Pandemona creates the first dating service for vampires of the city.

 

• Although proclaimed Queen of the City by The Church of Blood, Xeneri refuses to accept this title and instead begins to attempt to aid her sire, RavenBlack in non-violent means.

 

• Clan Savat disbands.

 

• The vampiric populous reject the notion of a City Prince, and Capadocious is left with only a self-imposed title, rather than one backed by democratic process. The polling results showed that just 27 percent of voters wanted to see Cap as their new leader, and over 50 percent said that nobody should be Prince of the City at all.

 

• The Travellers Guild arrives in The City, offering to teach vampires the power of Celerity. This new power allows vampires to move more quickly than should be humanly possible.

 

• RavenBlack sympathizers rush to the defence of the city's maker, attacking The Church of Blood. The list of RavenBlack sympathizers includes UnicornDream, Shadowbat, CHASS, and fallenangel.

 

 

June 2003

 

• Emperor Nomos leaves The Empire to the hands of Creperum.

 

• A recent war between The Church of Blood and The Empire comes to an end.

 

• Sodakk becomes one of the first (if not the first?) vampire in the city to gain all the available powers.

 

• Clan Ellende is formed. The idea given to her by the ghost of Mooncalf, Pandemona creates the new clan and attracts many powerful elder vampires to the it's banner.

 

• The city begins to argue with the idea of the city having a prince and Capadocious quickly loses support.

 

 

July 2003

 

• The first vampire slave auction is held at RBB.

 

• The Dynasty is formed, led by none other than Prince Capadocious.

 

• Dirktou betrays Pandemona and steals her clan from her. The majority of Clan Ellende is taken and brought to join a newly formed clan known as The Dynasty.

 

• Capadocious strengthens his new regime with the (now legendary) phrase "join or die". Many clans do just that, as if they do not join to the banner of The Dynasty, they are destroyed. Many of the old Clan Capadocious members return to the powerful leader and also join The Dynasty.

 

• Blackhaven and The Ferrymen declare war on each other.

 

• Capadocious lays down the challenge to the clans within the hall of RBB: if he is not wanted as Prince of the City, who then shall have the title in his place? A poll is opened, and eventually won by Capadocious, who remains the dubiously titled "Prince of The City".

 

• Lord Livingston and Gothic-Rose are bound.

 

• twilight of Blackhaven is zeroed by The Dynasty.

 

• Mooncalf returns, resurrected from what was thought to be death by his arch enemy Capadocious. Cap visits the grave of Mooncalf at Gloom and 30th and pours his blood on the bones of his nemesis. It is said that an agreement was made between Capadocious and the shade of Mooncalf, that if Cap returned him to live, Moon would join The Dynasty. Capadocious is promised his own clan within The Dynasty, and in return offers an inventive new way of enforcing the "join or die" regime. The idea: to attack and hound the friends and family of non-members until they agree to join The Dynasty.

 

• The City Watch is created by Archangel, it's primary job to guard the neutral zoned graveyard from disrespectful acts.

 

• The VNN reaches it's 100th issue.

 

• The Dynasty attacks The Empire and cripples it heavily.

 

 

August 2003

 

• The Temple of Golconda, a peaceful establishment of enlightened vampires, is built by Shadowbat.

 

• Lucius leads The Ferrymen back to the rulership of Capadocious, in The Dynasty clan.

 

• Road_Wytch is zeroed by The Dynasty.

 

• The Peacekeepers Mission is created in the city, offering the revolutionary power of Neutrality. This new power stops violence against and from the vampire in question.

 

• The Temple of Gloconia; a place for peaceful vampire, is created by Shadowbat.

 

• Leyland divorces Smilner.

 

• Obsidian divorces ShadowBat.

 

• DarkSaga and twilite are married.

 

• Lucius begins his now-legendary series of "Lucius' Little Truths".

 

• Wander and Redsgoddes are married.

 

• Confusion hit Capadocious' circle of clans, The Dynasty. There is a sudden revolt, and Mooncalf himself seems to be used as an excuse for the betrayal. It is claimed that Mooncalf's very presence is unwanted in the clan, as none trust the manipulative creature. It turns out that they were right not to, as Mooncalf joined The Dynasty was the intention of getting revenge on Capadocious. Cap's most trusted generals leave his clan, including Dirktou, Vampire B and Lucius. Their destination? To form The Shadow Court!

 

• Clan Archangel is formed.

 

 

September 2003

 

• Mooncalf travels deeper down the dark path, taking what is now know as The Dark Blood. OOC: David AKA Mooncalf invents the usage of Quizilla as a means of gaining blood. He keeps it a secret at first, but then it is discovered and others attempt to use the technique. None, however, are more successful with it than he; his total blood gained from it at one point increased more than 10,000 blood per day, and enabled him to be the first to reach the 100,000 mark. Needless to say, the rest of the players are not happy, but RB himself declares that it is within the game rules.

 

• Clan Mooncalf is founded, with the claim of being "the most fun clan in the entire city".

 

• XXXshadowXXX is zeroed by The Shadowcourt. Mooncalf quickly recruits shadow into his clan and replenishes his lost blood in a single night and offers him protection.

 

• Preistess Seph Lyr, Priestess Tich, and Castellan Alyssium take over Clan Beljeferon.

 

• The Raven Times is born, created by Mooncalf with the intention of "bringing you the lighter side of the dark alleyway". Originally intended to be a joke newspaper, it was often referred to as a tabloid, offering cartoons, nude models, stories, and the usual celebrity rumours. The RT also included the very unusual publication "Fly on Cap's Wall", a parody of stories aimed at Capadocious and his empire.

 

 

October 2003

 

• Mina and Krace are married.

 

• Cerridwen joins Capadocious as the new Princess of the reformed Clan Capadocious.

 

• The Vampire Companions organisation is formed by Lady Nikko.

 

• The great hall (or coven, or whatever you want to roleplay it as) RVRC is formed by Dirktou, attracting many new and old vampries.

 

• The Forge is formed.

 

 

November 2003

 

• House of Heorot formed

 

• Capadocious abolishes all rules within the hall of RBB, leaving anarchy. This is the beginning of the end for RavenBlack-Blood, as new groups step in to take on the unhappy elders looking for a new place to roleplay.

 

• First Vampiric Congress of RavenBlack City formed in response to the election of a Prince.

• The Supreme Court of RavenBlack City is created for settling matters which cannot be settled amongst individuals.

 

• The Shadow Court declares war on Cerridwen's clan, The Tower of Blood. Cerridwen and Adreadia are zeroed shortly after.

 

• Capadocious is finally zeroed by the collective force of the city, his clan are also decimated.

 

• Mooncalf steps down as leader of Clan Mooncalf, leaving the leadership to Death Reaper. DR, however, shortly steps down in favour of RavenesQue being the leader of the clan.

 

• Clan Reyrkatrill is formed by Rykoth.

 

 

February 2004

 

• The Travellers Guild starts teaching Telepathy to vampires who are willing to pay for it.

 

• Vampires begin contstructing private lairs around the city.

 

• Mooncalf is forced to take neutrality after The Scoins of Thanatos hold him ransom until he does so. The reason: Mooncalf is accused of an unspeakable crime against his own kind, and is hunted from one end of the city to the other. UnicornDream later takes credit for the crime, lending credit to Mooncalf's much professed innocence.

 

 

March 2004

 

• Charish and Personman wed.

 

• OOC: Mooncalf is sold for a record breaking $300 to the owner of Tejas Dragon.

 

 

April 2004

 

• OOC: David AKA Mooncalf invents and uses the "fake holy water" trick, which involves a false message to fool somebody into thinking they have been holy watered by any vampire he wishes. The bug that was being exploited took a few months for RB to discover and fix, and confused many around the city, including Lucius and Ophelia, among others.

 

• OOC: Many weak vampires wake up with 2000 BP, while those originally above 2000BP were given an additional 1000 BP. This was an error caused while RavenBlack was dealing with cheaters.

 

 

May 2004

 

• Mina makes the RavenBlack City Slave Auction, which quickly becomes very popular.

 

• Clan Archangel becomes the largest clan ever to exist in the game, their total membership reaching well over 400 and nearly 500.

 

• Blackhaven Coven attacks EvilBill.

 

• Ravenblack raises the Hall of Severance.

 

• Ravenblack raises the Hall Of Binding.

 

• OOC: Flowers and Diamond rings are now offered in shops throughought the city.

• "Bloodchat" is introduced to the city.

• The RavenBlack City Hall is established by Cerridwen (OOC: RBC is the new Y!Group created, which quickly becomes the most active group around, until the creation of RBRP 2 months later).

 

• Lucius Steals the Keys to the Halls of Capadocious and gives them to Creperum.

 

• Lucius makes the announcement that The Ferrymen are going to break from The Shadow Court and become a separate entity.

 

• Boomerangele & torch, Triumvirate Chancellors of the Sun Clan, bind in a ceremony presided by The Sun.

 

• OOC: Bags of coins and other objects begin to appear randomly throughout the city.

 

 

February 2005

 

• The Three Orders of The Ferrymen are created: The Scythe, The Oar and the Cloak. Now an entity unto themselves.

 

• Clan Archangel's current leader, EvilChicken, steps down, allowing Archangel's return to the clan as liege.

 

• EvilBill announces that The Church of Blood will no longer interact with others in the city as they have in the past, but instead will exist inside their own clan.

 

• NiFlhEiM is apointed as an additional leader of Virtus Sodalitas.

 

• BloodSpawn attacks the Ivory Tower. Parelle vows revenge and is exiled from The Sun Clan.

 

• BloodSpawn attacks torch. The Sun Clan holds a "Vampire Olympics" contest and displaces BloodSpawn approximnately a dozen times. Selethra of The Sun Clan is declared the winner for the longest distance. BloodSpawn retreats into shadows.

• OOC: RavenBlack Roleplay (RBRP) is created by David (AKA Dark Mooncalf).

 

• The Vampire underground club "The Lounge" is established by Boseraphim.

 

• Clan Archangel zeroes yankee sucks.

 

• Adreadia severs Rykoth as her sire, and binds instead to Cerridwen.

 

• ophelia severs Lucius.

 

• ophelia and EvilBill bind in marriage.

• Clan Archangel goes into chrysalis.

 

• The Sanctuary of Immortal Enlightenment (SIE) is formed, led by Hesu and by former members of Clan AA.

• The Ferrymen withdraw from the City and slip into The Dreaming.

• Astaroth is sired.

 

• Rykoth returns to the city and joins Clan Seraphim for a short time before leaving, seeking to sort out his personal demons.

 

• Charity, a rich vampiress takes the opportunity to attempt get the Splinters of Dusk to slay Rykoth for defending Christiana. Rykoth then rejoins the Covenant after they come to his aid and surround him.

 

 

October 2005

 

• Morai leaves the Church of Blood.

 

• Dark Mooncalf, now fully turned by Xeneri, creates anarchy in the city when he attempts to destroy the masquerade by appearing in press conferences and demonstrating vampiric skills and powers. He is hunted thereafter not only by Humans, but also by other vampires.

 

• Ravenblack gives everyone 100,000 coins.

 

 

November 2005

 

• Astaroth, after losing his beloved Skyler to a band of Vampire Hunters, begins to Ritualistically slaughter humans throughout the city in attempts to Resurrect her.

 

• Damari is kicked out of the Rectory of the Church of Blood for being a spy and returns to The Ferrymen.

 

• The Ferrymen leave the Dreaming and attack The Church of Blood.

 

• Bellina af Gyllenstierna and Vermathrax-Rex Bind in Marriage.

 

• UnicornDream is zeroed by The Ferrymen and Clan Capadocious.

 

• Nearly all The Ferrymen are killed in the War against the Church of Blood, The Inner Circle and The Shadow Court.

 

• Clan Xendom is disbanded.

 

• Astaroth joins the Castle of Shadows.

• Clan Archangel announce they officially 'own' the Halls of Binding and Severance and whoever did not pay the 'fee' to CAA will be scrolled from the Hall.

 

• Madeye publishes the first edition of The Grimoire.

 

• Astaroth, who's sire died, re-sires into the line of Xeneri, under Xeneri herself.

 

• Splinters of Dusk - Morningtide is disbanded.

 

• The BattleCloak is introduced to the City, dividing between those who are for it and those who are against it.

 

 

February 2006

 

• Evilive challenges Lucius to a duel to the death. Lucius wins the duel.
